Advantage Rehab is a family owned physical therapy and sports medicine practice. We accept all major health insurance plans as well as worker’s compensation and motor vehicle accident cases. Our mission is to provide effective, evidence based physical therapy interventions in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.


Here at Advantage Rehab, we strive to individualize your therapy sessions, always keeping the focus on you and your goals.  We know that you have many options for physical therapy and we hope that you will choose us.

Kim Schall, PT, DPT, CMTPT, Owner

Kim is the owner of Advantage Rehab as well as a treating physical therapist in the Denton location. She grew up in Caroline County and graduated from North Caroline High School where she played volleyball and softball. She attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where she played volleyball and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. After two years of teaching she switched focus and went on to graduate from University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Physical Therapy program in 1995. She is certified in dry needling as well as in concussion management. She recently completed her doctorate degree in physical therapy with a concentration in business management to support her professional development as well as her business aspirations.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach and on the boat with her husband and their family.

Chris Schall, Business Mgr, Co-Owner

Chris is the co-owner of Advantage Rehab as well as a science teacher at North Caroline High School. He grew up in Caroline County and graduated from North Caroline High School where he played football, baseball and wrestled. He attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In 1991 Chris started teaching at NCHS and then relocated to Colonel Richardson High School when his wife went back to school to earn her degree in physical therapy. He taught at CRHS for 15 years before returning to NCHS in 2008, where he is presently teaching today. Chris manages the financial operations of the business and works closely with our billing department to keep the business running efficiently.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the beach and on the boat with his wife and their children.

Megan Hartwick, PTA, Clinic Director

Meg is the clinic director and a treating physical therapist assistant in our Denton location. Meg grew up on the Eastern Shore and graduated from Queen Anne County High School. She has been with our office since graduating as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education Program in 2016. Meg has a passion for assisting patients with improving their quality of life through manual therapy and functional exercise, while providing a fun and energetic therapeutic experience. She has experience working with patients across their life span, from babies to senior adults.

She resides in Centreville, MD with her husband Mike. Outside of work, she enjoys watching movies, eating crabs, being out on the water, and spending time with her growing family.

Megan Bryan, Practice Manager

Megan is the billing manager for both our Denton and Federalsburg offices. She is always ready to assist you with any questions you may have regarding billing and can also help you make financial arrangements as needed.

Megan was born in Lewes, DE and grew up in Milford, DE. Following graduation from Milford High School she went on to graduate from Del Tech in 2004 as a Certified Medical Assistant. Since then she has worked in hospital settings as well as specialty offices.

Outside of work she enjoys water sports and spending time with her family on their boat.

Noah Schall, Billing Specialist

Noah grew up on the Eastern Shore. He graduated from North Caroline High school, where he played lacrosse, football, and wrestled. After graduating, Noah attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing. While he was an undergraduate student, he also enjoyed participating in year round intramural sports and was a member of Upsilon XI fraternity.

After graduating from Lee in 2022, he went to work for a medical sales company. Although Noah enjoyed the opportunity he was given, he has chosen to switch gears from sales and pursue a career in medical practice management. He is excited to work for a local small business that cares for the community he grew up in. Noah will be working in our billing department, while assisting with marketing and learning some of the other financial aspects of the business. He is always ready to assist you with any questions you may have regarding your bill and can also help you make financial arrangements as needed.

Noah married his college sweetheart, Karli, in May 2023. Outside of work, Noah enjoys woodworking, weight lifting, hiking, boating, fishing and being outdoors with friends and family.

Jennifer Shortall, Patient Care Coordinator

Jen will most likely be your first point of contact in our Denton office. She will not only help you get scheduled for your initial consult, but will also help you navigate quickly and easily through our paperwork.

Jen graduated from Chesapeake College in 1988, and worked in dentistry as a dental assistant for 30 years prior to taking her position here.

Outside of work, Jen loves to be outdoors kayaking and running, making crafts and spending time with her family.

Zach Schall, PT, DPT

Zach grew up in Caroline County. He attended North Caroline High school, where he played lacrosse, football, ran track, and wrestled. After graduating, Zach attended High Point University for three years where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. While he was an undergraduate student, he also enjoyed rowing for the university’s club team. Zach was heavily involved in the publication of research regarding exercise performance at the school’s biomechanics lab.

After graduation, he pursued his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at High Point University for another three years, graduating in 2021. Zach is very happy to have the opportunity to return to the shore and care for his home community. Zach was recently certified for both work conditioning and workplace evaluations. He is also certified to perform functional capacity evaluations, which formally test an injured worker’s ability to return to work. These certifications help ease the transition of injured people from physical therapy back to their jobs. When he is not treating patients, he is overseeing fitness classes at varying levels of intensity in our Athletic Performance Center.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys running, hiking, cycling, or any outdoor activity with friends and family.

Sunny Venesky, PTA

Sunny was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. He attended Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and played quarterback for the Bloomsburg Huskies. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, Sunny spent quite a few years living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina learning to hang glide. He eventually settled down on the Eastern Shore and opened the Highland Aerosports Hang Gliding School in Ridgely Maryland which he owned and operated from 1999-2015.

Sunny switched gears and began to pursue a career in physical therapy after closing his business. He graduated from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education in 2019 as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Sunny has found his niche in the outpatient orthopedic setting and enjoys working with patients of all ages. He has a passion for helping others and looks forward to working with you.

Outside of work Sunny enjoys rock climbing with his wife, Pittsburgh Steeler football and training his dog, “Frank the Tank.”

Lizzie Walston, PTA

Lizzy Walston is a treating physical therapist assistant in our Denton location. She was born and raised in Caroline County and graduated from North Caroline High School. She ran track in highschool. 

After highschool, she went on to graduate from Chesapeake College with her associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in July of 2021. Lizzy still lives locally and enjoys treating patients in her community. She is also an instructor in our Athletic Advantage training program, where she is able to utilize her knowledge of sports and weight training to help people in the community reach their fitness goals. 

Outside of work Lizzy loves to read, go swimming, and spend quality time with family and friends.
